Born into farming I have lived in the Cessnock area all my life. I have loved drawing for as long as I can remember. My fascination with colour began very early in childhood, studying the names and colours within my first set of ‘Lakeland’ pencils.
I’ve tried many different mediums and techniques including printmaking and ceramics and these experiences all influence my mark-making. I work in my bushland studio, central Pokolbin 5 to 6 days a week. Using mainly oils and various mediums I work in all genres and work instinctively.
In September 2020 I successfully held a Solo exhibition, ‘Natural Forces’, at Blackstone Gallery Newcastle and following on from this had an artwork selected for the BLUE Works on Paper Prize.
