I have forever been a creative, completing various studies in fashion design and fundamentals over the years, aspects of which I now apply to my otherwise self-taught jewellery making skills. Making for me is a soul nourishing and ever evolving creative pursuit. I use a broad range of materials to create my jewellery; naturally fallen wood is a favourite, crystal gemstones, natural fibres, recycled and sentimental fabric and beads, sterling silver, brass and copper wire… and the list goes on.
I love incorporating meaningful materials into my work and find inspiration in many aspects of life and experience; memories of childhood; the simple, joyful sights and sounds of nature; the movement and energy of the bush; the little things both seen and unseen that are noticed with presence and I aim to translate that beauty into little pieces wearable art. The result is an eclectic range of mindfully handcrafted jewellery that captures the essence of joy and the beauty of life.
